What we collectYour account name and email when you sign up; your newsletter topics after double opt-in; saved stories, language and display preferences, kept on your device. We don’t buy data about you or track you across other sites.
What we never doWe never sell or rent your personal data, and advertisers never see other accounts, they receive aggregate performance for their own placements only.
Advertiser accountsBusiness details you submit for a placement are used to build, review and publish that placement. Legal names and billing details stay private; only the content you mark public is displayed.
Your rightsAsk for a copy, correction or deletion of your data any time at [email protected]. Unsubscribe and preference links are in every newsletter. We honor rights under Costa Rica’s Law 8968 (PRODHAB) and, where it applies, the GDPR.
Security & retentionUploads are scanned, sensitive documents are stored encrypted and access-logged, and we keep records only as long as an account or legal duty requires.
Terms of use
The serviceTidesRight is a magazine and directory for the Nicoya Peninsula. Content is provided as-is for information, it isn’t legal, financial or real-estate advice.
Sponsored contentPaid placements are always labeled Sponsored. Every submission passes editorial review before publishing; we may decline or remove material that’s inaccurate, unlawful or infringing.
Advertiser responsibilitiesYou confirm you own or have permission for what you submit, that facts (prices, availability, credentials) are accurate, and that you’re authorized to represent the business or property.
Your content & our licenseYou keep ownership of what you submit and grant TidesRight a license to host, resize, crop and display it across the magazine, previews and newsletters while your placement is active.
Accounts & terminationPlacements run for their contract term and expire unless extended or comped. We may suspend accounts that break these terms; you may cancel any time, published editorial features may remain with disclosure.
